Health Savings Accounts
|
|
A
Health Savings Account (HSA) is an account which allows you to save for future
qualifying medical expenses. If you have coverage under an HSA qualified
"high deductible plan", have no other health care coverage
except what is permitted, you are not enrolled in Medicare and can not be
claimed as a dependent on some one else's tax return, you are eligible to
open a Health Savings Account.
The
new Health Savings Account offered by CLFCU works like any other savings
account. It will earn dividends depending on the balance in the account.
You may also transfer funds between your HSA and checking account via
ART, OTIS or a Member Service Representative.
There are many other benefits and details associated with this great new
program. Contact a Credit Union
Representative today to discuss how this program can work for you.
